treesMost people want to be happy and to feel contentment in their lives. To get to this point usually involves making a change to either how you think about the world around you, how you feel about it or how you interact with it. To start this process can be as simple as talking about your issues with someone like me who is trained to listen in a non-judgmental way.

I believe that everyone has the answers they seek inside themselves and that my role is to help you rediscover and reconnect with yourself to find those answers that make sense for you.

I work with people over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change or enhance their wellbeing. I am particularly interested in helping people find their purpose in life and in doing so, add more meaning to their lives.

I specialise in working with highly sensitive people and the types of issues I work with include:

Addictions including food, sex, shopping, gaming
Anger Management
Career Counselling
Couples Counselling
Dementia support for sufferers and carers
Eating Disorders
Fertility and infertility
Low Self-Confidence
Low Self-Esteem
Postnatal Depression
Relationship Issues
Rights of passage including adolescence, middle age and old age
Sexual Issues
Terminal illness
Work Related Issues

How to choose a counsellor

It is important that you find someone who you can get along with. The relationship between counsellor and client is important and will aid your therapeutic journey.

I recommend that you talk with and meet 3 or 4 different counsellors before deciding who to work with. Ask for a free discussion meeting, these are usually between 30 – 60 mins long.

I offer a free 30 minute initial session.

Session and price

Most sessions are face to face. I also offer telephone, email and Skype sessions.

Sessions are for 1 hour and I recommend that we meet for 6 weekly sessions to begin with. We will review our time at the 6th session and decide whether to carry on or stop.

My fee is £60 per 1 hour session.
